Service
How ordering
works.
Last updated 2 October 2026
The short version
- Commission now, pay nothing today. You choose your number and it is yours at once, and held in the house register for fourteen days.
- Pay when you are ready, from the secure link we email you. If you do not pay within fourteen days, the order simply lapses and you owe nothing.
- We make it for you. Eight to twelve weeks from payment, because nothing is taken from a shelf.
- Delivered insured, with your numbered certificate. Thirty days to change your mind once it arrives.
- Changed your mind before then? Cancel for a full refund any time before your piece is dispatched.
Placing your commission
Choose your piece, add your name and email, and confirm your commission. Nothing is charged and no account is needed. The moment it is placed you see your order page, with your number pressed into the house seal, and the same page is in your inbox a minute later with everything in writing.
Your number
Every piece is one of an edition of thirty-five, and each colour is its own edition. Your number is given to you when you commission and held for you while you decide. If you asked for a particular number and it has already gone, the house gives you the nearest free one and tells you which. When all thirty-five of an edition are taken, it closes and is never made again in that specification.
Paying
Your order email carries a secure payment link, and your order page has the same button. You have fourteen days. Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay; payment is handled by Stripe and the house never sees your card. Prices are in pounds sterling and include complimentary insured shipping.
- We send a reminder a week before your date, and again two days before.
- If it is not paid by the date, the order lapses, your number goes back to the edition, and nothing is owed. Commission again whenever you like.
- Your contract with the house is formed when you pay. Until then neither of us is bound.
Why it takes eight to twelve weeks
Because your piece does not exist until you commission it. Frames are cut from Japanese acetate and finished by hand in Bangkok, the lenses are tinted to the colour you chose and glazed, and your number is laser-written inside the temple. Each Coffret is wrapped by hand over its wooden carcass and fitted with its brass. Every piece is checked by hand before it is numbered, boxed and sent. That is the time it takes to do it properly.
Eight to twelve weeks runs from the day you pay. Your order page and your payment email show the date your piece will be with you by.
While you wait
You do not need to chase. We write to you when your payment lands, when your piece goes onto the bench, and when it ships, with tracking. Your order page always shows where it is: the link is in every email.
If you are not willing to wait
| Before you pay | Do nothing. The order lapses after fourteen days and you owe nothing. Or reply to any email and we release your number straight away. |
| After you pay, before dispatch | Write to us and we cancel and refund in full, to the card you paid with, within five working days. If prescription lenses have already been glazed to your prescription, we refund everything except the lens price. |
| After it arrives | Thirty days to return it unworn, under the returns policy, on top of your statutory rights. |
If we are late
If your piece will not be with you by the date we gave, we tell you before that date, with a new one. You can wait for it, or cancel for a full refund. You are never left wondering.
Questions, or chasing an order
Reply to any email from the house, or write to hello@paulsagoo.com quoting your reference (it begins PS-). A person reads every message and replies within two working days. Your order page, linked from every email, shows the current state of your order at any hour.
Delivery
Complimentary and insured, tracked and signed for, to every country we ship to. Outside the United Kingdom, import duties and taxes may be charged by your country on arrival; see shipping and duties.
These are the house's own commitments and sit on top of your legal rights, never in place of them. The full terms of sale are here.
